چکیده
Abstract The aim of this study was to report patellar groove replacement in a 6-year-old domestic short hair cat with chronic unilateral pelvic limb lameness and severe femoro-patellar osteoarthritis due medial luxation. This is case report. Computed tomographic scan the affected revealed marked periarticular osteophytosis, trochlear ridge erosion, flattening femoral trochlea, ectopic pseudo-trochlear groove, Femoral ostectomy replacement, release fibrocartilage, partial parasagittal patellectomy, lateral tibial tuberosity were performed. Clinical review radiographs performed 53 days post-surgery no complications substantial decrease lameness. Thirteen months postoperatively scored 2/72 on Feline Musculoskeletal Pain Index questionnaire by owner, indicating good mobility, minimal discomfort, quality life. As far as authors are aware, first use management feline Patellar combination adjunctive procedures, resulted improvement luxation osteoarthritis.

Patellar groove replacement in patellar luxation with severe femoro-patellar osteoarthritis.
OBJECTIVE To report a novel method of treating femoro-patellar instability in association with severe femoro-patellar osteoarthritis, by substituting the femoral trochlear with a patellar groove replacement prosthesis. STUDY DESIGN Retrospective case series. METHODS Preoperative lameness was scored from 0-4, and radiographic studies including standard positions for patellar luxation were ob...
متن کاملPatellar Tendon–Trochlear Groove Angle Measurement
Methods: Three PT-TG angle measurements and the PT-TG distance were measured in 82 participants with patellar instability and 100 controls using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Measurement landmarks were the line tangent to the posterior femoral condyles, the deepest point of the trochlea, the transepicondylar line, and the patellar tendon center. All measurements were recorded once by 1 exam...
متن کاملValue of the tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove distance in patellar instability in the young athlete.
BACKGROUND A lateralized tibial tubercle may be a relevant anatomic factor in patients with patellar instability and can be used as an indication for a distal realignment procedure. However, parameter values for the tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove (TT-TG) distance in the young patient have not been defined. It also remains to be determined how this parameter contributes to patellar instabili...
متن کاملLinguatula serrata nymph in a cat
Linguatula serrata is a tongue-shaped parasite that infects carnivores or insectivorous reptile as final host and herbivores as intermediate ones. During necropsy of a 1.5-year-old female stray cat, a few white and fine nodules were observed on the diaphragmatic lobes of the lung. In histopathological examination, the nodules contained a turned spinosum parasite with cuticular spines and in par...

A four-year-old male Persian cat was referred with three weeks history of progressive lameness due to a rigid osseous mass with 3.50×2.50×2.00 cm in dimensions in his left arm. In the histopathological evaluation of bone biopsy, two distinct populations of cells including multinucleated giant cells and oval cells which embedded in a fibro-osseous stroma and surrounded by lamellar bone trabecula...
